OOOOOOOKAY, if you’ve been a follower of my blog for a long time
you know that i have nothing but respect for Tablo.
and i know i’m super late on this, but i haven’t kept up with knews or anything
here’s the wikipedia brief description of him because i don’t want to start raving about how amazing he is, how amazing his music is, and how much i adore everything about him & his work.
Daniel Armand Lee, Korean name is Lee Seon-Woong (이선웅)(born July 22, 1980), more commonly known by the stage name Tablo (Hangul: 타블로), is a Canadian of Korean descent. He is a hip hop musician, rap artist, songwriter and lyricist. He is best known as the rapper and leader of the South Korean hip hop group Epik High. Tablo produces almost all the songs of Epik High withDJ Tukutz, and writes the lyrics with Mithra Jin. He has also produced and featured on many songs in South Korea. His work incorporates numerous musical styles, ranging from hip hop, to electronic music such as trance, trip hop, as well as rock.[1]
AND THEN IT CAME TO MY ATTENTION THAT HIS CAREER IS IN TATTERS BECAUSE OF THESE FUCKING KOREAN NETIZENS AND I HAD NO IDEA
so a few years ago i raved about how brilliant he was because he graduated form standford with a ba and ma in 3.5 years and how his writing just touches my soul

if you were his “fan” you can’t deny that his mastery of words can be seen throughout all his pieces, whether it is through lyrics or through memoirs.
so what if he hypothetically didn’t come from stanford? does that make his music any less wonderful and enjoyable? why does it matter so much?

sooooo i don’t want to hear about people who think that epik high’s music is the same as everything else in the industry because at least they write their own fucking music
if i wanted to hear cute voices singing cute catchy shit i’d hire a prostitute and make her dance okay.
